🇨🇦Vietnam War Stories: Honouring the Heroes We Lost: Steven Joseph Scott of Canada
Today we honour Lance Corporal Steven Joseph Scott, a native of Canada who enlisted for service while living in New Baltimore Michigan. Steven served with Company H, 2nd Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, Third Marine Amphibious Force. He was fatally wounded on July 14, 1968 in the Thua Thien province of South Vietnam. Steven was only 18 years old.
A recipient of the Purple Heart, Lance Corporal Scott is honored on the Vietnam Veteran’s Memorial in Washington DC on Panel 52W, Line 32. Steven is also memorialized on the Canadian Vietnam Veterans Memorial (The North Wall) in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. He lies in rest at Maple Leaf Cemetery in Chatham, Ontario. Lest We Forget.
