🇦🇺 Vietnam War Stories: Honouring the Heroes We Lost: Raymond Cox of New South Wales
Today we honour Private Raymond Cox of Orange New South Wales. Raymond was working as a cotton dogger before being called up for National Service in 1967. On completion of his training, he was posted to 1RAR and deployed with the Battalion to South Vietnam in 1968.
Raymond was fatally wounded on 28 December 1968 in the Phuoc Tuy province of South Vietnam. He was 22 years old. He had 6 weeks left of service at the time of his passing.
Private Raymond Cox lies in rest at Goulburn General Cemetery in Goulburn New South Wales. Lest We Forget.
