After the war Hector returned to his home and family in Battle Ground Washington where he worked as a lineman for the US West telephone company. Hector was also an avid sportsman as he coached both baseball and softball for over 25 years.
US Marine Corps Private First Class Hector Ramon Benson passed away on April 28, 1999 at the age of 50 years old. He lies in rest at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland Oregon. Lest We Forget.
