Today we honor Corporal Steven Lee Fawbush, of Jeffersontown Kentucky, who served with Company D, 2nd Battalion, 27th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade, 25th Infantry Division, United States Army. Steven was fatally wounded on July 24, 1970 in the Hua Nghia Province of South Vietnam. He was 19 years old.

A recipient of the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart Medals, Corporal Fawbush is honored on the Vietnam Veteran’s Memorial in Washington DC on Panel 08W Line 48. Steven lies in rest at Zachary Taylor National Cemetery in Louisville Kentucky. Lest We Forget.
