Today we honor Private First Class Robert John Joseph Foley, of Norristown Pennsylvania, who served in the 199th Light Infantry Brigade, 2nd Battalion, 3rd Infantry, C Company. Robert was fatally wounded on August 29, 1968 in the Gia Dinh province of South Vietnam. He was 19 years old.

A recipient of the Bronze Star and Purple Heart Medals, Private First Class Foley is honored on the Vietnam Veteran’s Memorial in Washington DC on Panel 46W, Line 58. Robert lies in rest at Mt Hope Cemetery.in Mattapan Massachusetts. Lest We Forget
