Today we honor First Lieutenant Michael Armond De Masi, of Mesa Arizona, who served with the 25th Infantry Division, 2nd Battalion, 22nd Infantry, Headquarters Company. Michael was fatally wounded in an accident on July 12, 1970 in the Tay Ninh province of South Vietnam. He was 23 years old.
A recipient of the Purple Heart and three Bronze Star Medals First Lieutenant Michael De Masi is honored on the Vietnam Veteran’s Memorial in Washington DC on Panel 08W Line 11. Michael lies in rest at Mountain View Cemetery in Mesa Arizona. Lest We Forget.
