Today we honor Private First Class Charles Leon Anderson, of Seattle Washington, who served with the 3rd Marine Division, 1st Battalion, 3rd Marines, A Company. Charles was fatally wounded on May 18, 1967 in the Quang Tri province of South Vietnam. He was 19 years old.

A recipient of the Bronze Star and Purple Heart Medals Private First Class Anderson is honored on the Vietnam Veteran’s Memorial in Washington DC on Panel 20E, Line 24.
Charles lies in rest at Port Hudson National Cemetery in Baton Rouge Louisiana. Lest We Forget.
