USS New York BB-34 arrives in New York Harbor from the Pacific – October 19, 1945

The veteran Battleship was selected as a test ship for Operation Crossroads and survived both the Able and Baker nuclear tests.
Afterwards New York was towed to Pearl Harbor for study, on July 6, 1948, she was towed out to sea and sunk during target practice.
